List of all things BREAD

This one was a daydream. It happened when I was eating breakfast at my own pace, still half awake only. I stared at my bread and my mind started to wander.
I imagined owning a bakery. Every single day I would bring out fresh rolls of bread and line my display cases with beautiful cakes. The aroma of freshly baked cookies would perfume the air around me and fill the air around the shop with the delicious smell. Mothers would buy bread from me daily and children would visit me after school, their eyes glued to the desserts. Sometimes, the little ones would drool uncontrollably and I’ll slip them a chocolate cookie or two. It was a small town where everyone knew everyone else and everyday passed in joyful peace.
However, one day, a new bakery opened in town. It was a fancy international brand that used a factory to bake and vacuum pack their goods. They chose to open just opposite me! The nerve! The owner of the new bakery soon came out to cut the opening ribbon. I was shocked! It was an old friend of mine, Yvonne Rose (YR)! When she saw me, she squealed and ran over to give me a hug.
“Oh my gosh! How long has it been since we last met? 5 years? Since I left for Australia right? Hahaha well here are some coupons for you. Do come and patronize!” and just like that she turned and skipped back to her shop. I can’t believe my friend would try to steal my business but maybe a little friendly competition won’t hurt.
I was dead wrong. Within a week, I had lost most of my regular clients. They had an in-house café that attracted the mothers to sit in for coffee. They had a drive-through for the men that needed to rush to work and a free ice-cream scoop for every child that bought a dessert. I was not one to fall into despair and with the shop’s business doing so poorly; I needed to win my customers back!
First, I needed to have a café too but with an amazing theme. New flavors and desserts were without question but I needed to offer more things to my customers! I needed my own brand merchandise! I decided to push the bakery’s image to the limit and decided that bread shall be my theme.
First, the café was lined with tables and chairs made of bread.

Then, I created a new menu! There were new and exciting flavors but most importantly, the menu too was made of bread to fit the theme!

To top it off, I started selling bread accessories! Bread necklaces, bread rings, bread bracelets, bread earrings, bread watches, etc. You name it I sold it!

Business boomed immediately but the good days didn’t last. YR saw what I did and responded to my challenge. She started selling bread shampoo! This was the start of a bread product war.

I sold bread bags!

She sold bread pencil cases!

I sold bread perfume!

She sold bread dresses!

I sold bread shoes! Best loafers ever made!

She sold bread beds! (I would love to bring one of these to camping!)

This nonsense stopped abruptly when I realised I was about to be late for school! YR, we shall have a rematch! This war must have a victor and it will be me! But that's saved for some crazy time in the future. What surprised me the most was not the dream but that fact that I could find pictures for all the crazy things I dreamt about! I was curious so I went to search some more. Here are more crazy bread related things I found on the Internet. Enjoy!
